Fenway Park Receives Adam Jones with Applause
On Tuesday, Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox, received Adam Jones, the baseball player from the Baltimore Orioles, with applause.
The outfielder of the visiting team received racist insults from several attendees at Monday's game.
After these actions, the President of the Red Sox apologized to the player.
In addition, MLB Commissioner Robert Manfred indicated that this type of behavior will not be tolerated within the stadiums. He also mentioned that this "ignorant attitude is not reflective of all fans of this sport".
