Of these medals, 11 were obtained by the brothers from Guanajuato, Raúl and Juan José Gutiérrez.
Out of the 22 gold medals earned, the Gutiérrez brothers won six, as well as four out of the 28 silver medals and one out of the 22 bronze medals.
"There, we forget that we are family because the most important thing is for one of us to reach the finish line as fast as possible," said Raúl.
The brothers' goal is to arrive at Tokyo 2020 as well-prepared as possible and to show that "Mexicans can also conquer many gold medals."
On the other hand, Juan José indicated that "despite everything, we performed well and brought home some gold medals."
Raúl Gutiérrez achieved seven medals: three gold, three silver, and one bronze. On the other hand, Juan José obtained four medals: three gold and one silver.
