The Recovery of Tom Brady's Jerseys

The Criminal Investigation Agency of the PGR, in collaboration with the FBI, recovered Tom Brady's jerseys at the home of the former director of La Prensa newspaper, Mauricio Ortega, who stole them from the locker rooms in at least the last three Super Bowls.

The organization, led by Omar Hamid García Harfuch since November 2016, found Tom Brady's jerseys and Von Miller's helmet, from the Denver Broncos, in a drawer at Ortega Camberos' residence.

The collection that was seized included the uniforms with which the number 12 of the New England Patriots was crowned champion of the NFL in editions 49 and 51. In both, he was the most valuable player of the game.

Similarly, Miller, defensive player for the Denver Broncos, was key to the championship against the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50.

Ortega, who was still the director of the newspaper on the night of February 5th, when the cameras at NRG Stadium caught him leaving with an unidentified object from the Patriots' locker, resigned on March 14th, citing personal reasons.

"With total surprise and disappointment, today we received news of the conduct allegedly carried out by Martín Mauricio Ortega Camberos on February 5th, 2017, inside NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas. The place where Super Bowl LI was held," reported the Organización Editorial Mexicana in a statement.

The communication company expressed its disassociation from the events, claiming that Mauricio Ortega did not report his trip and reported that he was on vacation.
