MADRID, Oct 20 (EUROPA PRESS) -

The president of the Superior Sports Council (CSD), José Manuel Franco, visited the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar for the first time on Thursday, which is a "modelic" facility that promotes both "perfection in tennis" and the values that are the hallmark of the winner of 22 Grand Slams.

The leader, accompanied by Jennifer Pareja, traveled to Manacor to tour the center, which is currently celebrating its sixth anniversary, and was able to see firsthand the tennis courts, the physical and health preparation areas, and the museum, where the trophies won by the player from Manacor are displayed, as well as some objects donated by great Spanish and international athletes.

This visit was guided by Carlos Costa, Head of Business Development of the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar and manager of the former world number one, and during which José Manuel Franco and Jennifer Pareja were able to witness a training session of the 14-time champion of Roland Garros.

"I already knew about the magnificent work that is carried out at the Rafa Nadal Academy, but now I have been able to see firsthand everything that is done here. Perfection in tennis is encouraged, but for me, the most impressive thing is the values that are promoted, which are the same ones that made Rafa become the best athlete in the history of Spain, such as perseverance, sacrifice, or humility," said Franco in statements provided by the CSD.

The president of the Council was pleased "to see that all of this is taken into account in every corner of the Academy". "And that is fully satisfying for those of us who love sports, and in my case as president of the CSD," he added.

"I would describe the Academy's facilities as modelic because they are adapted to sports practice and are also environmentally sustainable," said the leader.
