No matter the other great performances this Tuesday in the Major Leagues, the eyes of baseball were focused on the star outfielder of the New York Yankees, Aaron Judge, who became the sixth player in history to hit 60 home runs in an MLB season.

YANKEES 9-8 PIRATES

Aaron Judge hit home run number 60 of his historic campaign and Giancarlo Stanton hit a 'grand slam' in the ninth inning for the New York Yankees to seal their victory and leave the Pittsburg Pirates behind.

Judge found a pitch from reliever Wil Crowe in the strike zone and sent the ball to the left field bleachers in the ninth inning to tie Babe Ruth for the second highest number of home runs in a season in the American League (both with 60).

The 30-year-old outfielder is one home run away from the record in the MLB, which is held by Roger Maris, who hit 61 home runs in 1961 also with the Yankees.

Aaron became the sixth player to reach 60 or more home runs in a season, joining Ruth, Maris, Barry Bonds (73-2001), Mark McGwire (70-1998 and 75-1999), and Dominican Sammy Sosa (66-1998, 63-1999, and 64-2001).

With the home runs by Judge and Stanton, the Yankees erased a four-run deficit in the ninth inning to achieve the victory, which was (3-3) after pitching a scoreless inning with one strikeout.

Dominican Rodolfo Castro hit a three-run home run for the Pirates.
