Stott HR, 5 RBIs helps Phillies get together to beat the Braves - Eminetra Canada

Philadelphia (AP) —Bryson Stott hit a home run, doubled, and drove five runs, returning the Philadelphia Phillies to the Atlanta Braves 6-4 on Monday night.

Alec Bohm doubled and hit the Phillies three times. The Phillies rebounded last weekend from a three-game sweep at home with the Chicago Cubs.

Austin Riley had a doubles pair and Marcell Ozuna had three RBIs and a Braves RBI. The Braves are two games behind the New York Mets, which is number one in the NL East.

The Braves took the lead and AJ Minter (4-3) took the first two outs in the eighth inning, followed by Baume and Yairomunos in singles first and second. Stott then hit a full-count cutter into his right-wing seat, making his seventh home run and leading the Phillies 6-4.

Andrew Verratti (2-3) won in 8th place with no points, and Serantney Dominguez finished in 9th place with his fifth save.

Atlanta starter Max Fried scored 8 strikeouts in 6 innings, 9 hits and 3 runs with no runs.

REDS 11, MARLINS 2

Cincinnati (AP) — Jonathan India hit the grand slam of his first career, Brandon Drury scored a three-run shot and helped the Cincinnati pound beat Miami.

India and Donovan Solano each scored three hits as Cincinnati in the last place improved to 9-4 in the last 13 games.

Miami had 15 players on the injured list, hurt their chances of staying in the NL wildcard race. The Marlins have fallen 3-12 against the Reds in the last two seasons.

Cincinnati rookie Nick Lodolo (3-3) hit his career’s best 9 in 6 innings. He allowed two earned runs and five hits.

Trevor Rogers (4-10) hit 6 runs and 8 hits in 32/3 innings.

Orioles 5, Raise 1

Baltimore (AP) — Ryan Mountcastle sent Baltimore to Tampa Bay with a four-run, five-inning tiebreaker and a two-run single.

Austin Voth and five Baltimore rescuers prevented the Tampa Bay attack from making a big hit. Raise left 10 men at the base, including 6 in the first 3 innings.

Brandon Lowe led Tampa Bay third at home, but Corey Kluber (6-6) allowed four earned runs in five innings. Nick Bespi (3-0) won by hitting 4 in 1 2/3 innings.

Voss allowed a run and four hits in three innings.

Tigers 12, Padres 4

Detroit (AP) — Eric Haase hit Sean Manaea’s grand slam, Jeimer Candelario hit two home runs, and Detroit routed to San Diego.

Miguel Cabrera hit his 506th home run in the 6th inning, overtaking Al Simmons in the 13th inning with 1,840 RBIs.

Manaea (5-5) was tagged with the worst 9 runs of his career in 3 1/3 innings, and his successor, left-handed MacKenzie Gore, was clearly pulled by an arm injury.

San Diego, who won a solo homer from Jurickson Profar, lost two games in a row.

Tigers starter Drew Hutchison was stuck in fifth place. The first six Padres batters reached the base, and when Will Best (2-2) got out of the bullpen and out of the jam, two were on and one was out to 9-4.
