Officially friends. Novak Djokovic resisted Nick Kyrgios' initial brilliance on Sunday to secure his fourth consecutive Wimbledon title with a 4-6 6-3 6-4 7-6(3) victory. Afterward, 'Nole' told the Australian tennis player that he now officially has a bromance.
"It's officially a 'bromance.' Hopefully, this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship," said the Serbian, highlighting the quality of his opponent.
"Nick, you will be back," Djokovic assured. "I know it's not easy to listen to words of consolation after losing a final, but you have shown why you deserve to be among the best in the world. I respect you a lot, you have great talent. Now you are putting all your pieces together," he added.
"I never thought I would say something good about you," Djokovic said with laughter about the difficult relationship they had in the past, which was resolved after the Australian Open when Kyrgios publicly supported Djokovic after his deportation.

The 35-year-old Serbian extended his unbeaten streak at Wimbledon to 28 matches with great composure, after being overshadowed in a first set dominated by Kyrgios' serve.
