Danish tennis player loses his temper during match against Casper Ruud
The Danish tennis player Holger Rune, 19 years old, caused a unpleasant incident during his match against Norwegian Casper Ruud at Roland Garros. He shouted at his mother and made her leave the stadium.
After a shaky start, the young player provoked his mother to leave the court. Visibly uncomfortable, she quickly left the stands.
"I love my mother very much, I did not kick her out of the court. When I am frustrated, I need to be left alone, I can't be listening to my mother and my coach. I didn't specifically ask her to leave, she also left during the match with Stefanos. She knows how to give me peace," Rune said in a press conference.
Eliminated
Holger Rune (N.40) lost to Casper Ruud (N.8) with a score of 6-1, 4-6, 7-6 (7/2) and 6-3 in three hours and fifteen minutes of play, and said goodbye to Roland Garros.
Ruud, 23 years old, will play on Friday for a place in the final against Croatian Marin Cilic, 33 years old, who had previously defeated Andrey Rublev in a tight match that was decided in the fifth set's super tie break.
