A tennis team physiotherapist from France participating in the Olympic Games died on Friday in Rio de Janeiro after fainting, announced the French Olympic Committee (CNOSF).
"Patrick Bordier died suddenly this afternoon," said the CNOSF president, Denis Masseglia, on Friday night in the carioca city.
"Patrick Bordier was a friend and someone who was at the service of the athletes."
Bordier had been working with the French tennis team since 2014.
"We note the death of Patrick Bordier with great sadness. All our thoughts are with his family," the French federation wrote on Twitter.
