Alongside James, the hero of the game was point guard Kyrie Irving, who scored a three-pointer with 53 seconds remaining to break the 89-89 tie on the scoreboard and finished the game with 26 points, being the decisive player in the second half when the Cavaliers overcame a seven-point deficit (49-42) with which both teams went into halftime.
Shooting guard J.R. Smith was also a winning factor for the Cavaliers, scoring 12 points, including two three-pointers out of eight attempts that also helped in the Cavaliers' historic comeback.
