After the performance in the Fukuoka World Swimming Championship, where they achieved outstanding results, the artistic swimmers immediately hired Ukrainian choreographer Olga Pylypchuk in order to improve their routines for the 2023 Santiago Pan American Games, where they will be looking for Olympic spots. However, they were surprised to find out that the European was not allowed to enter the National High-Performance Center.
"We are now training at the Francisco Márquez Pool since the choreographer was not allowed to enter. The necessary permits were obtained, and even the Mexican Olympic Committee contacted the director of quality control to request permission for her to enter. The response was that they did not know who she was, they did not know how she had entered the country, legally or not, and they even asked for her CV, which was sent to them. I don't understand why they are doing this, and she comes to Mexico to help us," said Loftus.
On her part, Nuria Diosdado mentioned that the decisions made by Conade are regrettable and that they only place obstacles on their path towards their main goal, which is to secure an Olympic spot as a team.
"You never expect bad news or obstacles within the work project, but now our minds are focused on letting the legal part be taken care of by the lawyer, and we are here to train. But we are not going to let ourselves be defeated because we are a team that has shown that it can raise its voice, and we have a lot of desire to move forward, so when it happened, there was a sarcastic laugh, and we also thought that if it is not possible, let's go to another place. We are looking for an Olympic spot, and it is regrettable that these decisions are being made," stated Diosdado.
"SHE IS NOT A CRIMINAL. Conade denies access to CNAR to the Ukrainian coach Olga Pylypchuk, who is in Mexico polishing the routines of the Mexican Artistic Swimming Team for the Pan American Games, where the ticket to the Olympic Games will be sought,"
In the face of this obstacle, the swimmers filed another appeal, which was granted to them so that Conade allowed the Ukrainian access within 24 hours, and this Wednesday at 08:00 hours is when the deadline ends. The artistic swimmers intend to enter the facilities at that time with the judge's order.
