Good news in Peruvian sport: Angelo Caro managed to place among the top 16 participants in the Skateboarding Street World Championship and thus advance to the semifinals of the qualifying tournament for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

The Peruvian skateboarder obtained 71.30 points that allowed him to place 12th, after his participation in the quarterfinals of the tournament held in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. With that score, he became the highest-scoring Spanish speaker. He was followed by Colombian Jhancarlos Gonzales, with 66.23 points.

Angelo Caro, who finished fifth in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, had a difficult 2022 due to an injury, but now he seeks to start the current season in the best possible way. His goal is to make it to the final.

His next challenge will be on Saturday, February 4, starting at 9:30 am. Only the top eight participants in the semifinals will be able to advance to the final and decisive stage of the Skateboarding Street World Championship. Go, Angelo!
