Through its official website, the Pan American Games highlighted everything Angelo Caro has accomplished at 23 years old. They know he is one of the weapons of the Peruvian delegation to surprise in this international competition.
"The athlete thinks big for the debut of this discipline in the Pan American Games. Angelo Caro is only 23 years old, but he can be considered a veteran of skateboarding," reads the official note of the competition.
Angelo Caro overcame his injury
"My 2022 started a bit complicated due to an injury that I had carried over from 2021, recording some videos after the Tokyo Olympics, I injured my knee, so I had to go to Austria to recover at the end of 2021 and during a good part of 2022," said the Peruvian athlete.
After overcoming the injury, Angelo Caro managed to participate in several international competitions in Europe. One of them was the "Urban Sports," in which he managed to take first place to the pride of Peruvians.
Angelo Caro wants the gold in Santiago 2023
The Peruvian skater has the firm objective of winning the gold medal at the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games. He hopes to prepare himself in the best way possible in these months and bring immense joy to the country.
"The medal is the goal. I don't have a necklace on right now because I'm waiting to hang that medal around my neck. The medal has to be gold, but in the end, I know that you learn from every result. That is the most important thing, learning from every experience," he expressed.
