The journalist decided to step away from RPP while the investigations into an alleged corruption case involving Pedro Castillo are ongoing.

The journalist from RPP, Mauricio Fernandini, acknowledged having contacted Sada Goray and the former cabinet advisor of the Ministry of Housing, Salatiel Marrufo. However, he denied having received any money as a bribe, and even distanced himself from the media until the investigations are completed.

During an interview with RPP, the journalist stated that a cousin, Pilar Tijero Martino, asked him for support so that Sada Goray, owner of the company Marka Goup, could contact the Ministry of Housing.

"First, my cousin, Pilar Tijero Martino, has a daughter who plays golf with Goray's daughter, and the request my cousin makes is: 'I have a friend (Goray) who is in the construction world and she explicitly asks me to pass on the contacts with Housing and to contact Sataniel Marrufo, who was from Chiclayo," he explained.

We must mention that the former Government advisor, Salatiel Marrufo, stated that Mauricio Fernandini gave him one million soles, on behalf of the company Sada Goray, to the President of the Republic, Pedro Castillo, and the former Minister of Housing, Geiner Alvarado.

"I want to clarify that Sada Goray had committed to me that after we fulfill the appointment of the people she had recommended as members of the MiVivienda board, she should have already delivered 4 million soles, but she had only delivered one million soles. That's why I argued with Minister Geiner Alvarado because he was being pressured by President Pedro Castillo," according to the document presented by Canal N.
