ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 Schedule, Points Table, Live Score, India Matches, Live Today Match, Table, India Squad, Groups, Match List,  Live Streaming, Live Telecast Channels. ICC T20 World Cup 2022 has already commenced on October 16 and fans are too enthralled to witness the matches. The tournament begins on October 16 with the qualifier round matches. In the opening game, Sri Lanka and Namibia will take on each other.

The super 12 round of ICC T20 World Cup 2022 begins on October 22 with the first match between Australia and New Zealand- the finalists of last year’s 2021 T20 World Cup. The ICC T20 World Cup 2022 final will be played on November 13.

Australia is the host and venue of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022. Hence, all the matches will take place at different stadiums spread across Australia. Australia is also the defending champions of the T20 World Cup tournament as they defeated New Zealand in the last year’s T20 World Cup final at UAE to win their maiden T20 World Cup title.

A total of 45 matches will take place during ICC T20 World Cup 2022. A total of 16 teams are part of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 tournament. They are Sri Lanka, Namibia, UAE, West Indies, Netherlands, Ireland, Zimbabwe, Scotland, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, South Africa, England, New Zealand, Afghanistan, and Australia.

There are 4 groups in the tournament. In the qualifier round, there are two groups- A and B. In the super 12 round, there are 2 groups- 1 and 2. In group A, there is Sri Lanka, Namibia, UAE, and the Netherlands. In Group B, there is West Indies, Zimbabwe, Ireland, and Scotland.

In Group 1, there is England, New Zealand, Australia, and Afghanistan. In Group 2, there is India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and South Africa. After the qualifier round, 2 teams will join each groups 1 and 2.

Seven venues across Australia will be used in total during the ICC T20 World Cup 2022, with the Melbourne Cricket Ground hosting the final and the semi-finals set to be played at Adelaide Oval and the Sydney Cricket Ground. The Gabba in Brisbane, Kardinia Park in Geelong, Bellerive Oval in Hobart, and Perth Stadium are the other host venues.

ICC T20 World Cup 2022- Replacements For Injured Players

India- Jasprit Bumrah, Deepak Chahar – Jasprit Bumrah complained of back pain before the start of the India vs South Africa T20I series earlier this month. He was ruled out of the series, and later from the ICC T20 World Cup 2022. The Indian selectors have named pacer Mohammed Shami as Jasprit Bumrah’s replacement in the team for the marquee tournament. Standby player Deepak Chahar was also ruled out due to an injury and Shardul Thakur was named as his replacement in the reserves.

England-Jonny Bairstow, Reece Topley- England’s preparations for the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 were dealt with a severe blow as in form Jonny Bairstow got ruled out of the tournament, due to an injury. The wicket-keeper batter broke his leg in an accident while playing golf. Reece Topley rolled his left ankle during a fielding session in Brisbane ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 warm-up match against Pakistan. He will no longer be a part of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022. Tymal Mills replaced him.

South Africa-Dwaine Pretorius- Dwaine Pretorius was ruled out of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 after he sustained an injury to his left thumb. The injury took place during the recent T20I series against India earlier this month. South Africa has brought in Marco Jansen as Dwaine Pretorius’ replacement for the tournament.

Sri Lanka-Dushmantha Chameera, Danushka Gunathilaka, Dilshan Madushanka- Sri Lanka fast bowler Dushmantha Chameera got ruled out of the T20 World Cup 2022. He is down with a calf injury, which occurred during the last over of his spell against UAE in the Qualifiers leg. Kasun Rajitha will replace the injured pacer in the tournament. Danushka Gunathilaka has also been ruled out of the tournament. He suffered a hamstring tear and will be replaced by Ashen Bandara.

The Event Technical Committee of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 has approved Binura Fernando as a replacement for left-arm fast bowler Dilshan Madushanka in the Sri Lanka squad. Binura Fernando who has played nine T20Is was named as a replacement after Dilshan Madushanka was ruled out due to a torn quad muscle.

Australia- Josh Inglis- The Event Technical Committee of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 has approved Cameron Green as a replacement for Josh Inglis in the Australia squad. Cameron Green who has played seven T20Is was named as a replacement after Josh Inglis was ruled out due to a right-hand injury that has required surgery.

Pakistan- Usman Qadir- Fakhar Zaman was originally named in the traveling reserves but swapped places with Usman Qadir after the leg-spinner needed more time to recover from a hairline fracture on his right thumb. Spinner Usman Qadir was injured during the seven-match T20I series against England last month.

ICC T20 World Cup 2022- Points Table- First Round

Defending Asia Cup champions Sri Lanka have booked their place in the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 Super 12. They defeated the Netherlands and have moved to the top of Group A. Irrespective of the result of the next game, Sri Lanka is set to finish among the top two. Meanwhile, the Netherlands has dropped to the second spot and will need to wait for the result of Namibia vs UAE match to know their status.

From ‘Group B’, all four teams – Scotland, Zimbabwe, West Indies, and Ireland have 2 points under their belt with one win and a loss each. However, Scotland (+0.759) and Zimbabwe (0.000) are presently placed at the top owing to a better Net run rate (NRR) than the Windies and Ireland, which have a negative NRR. West Indies will face Ireland, while Scotland will take on Zimbabwe next, to determine the two spots for the next stage of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022.
