The tigers started well with Mehidy Hasan smashing all around in the Power Play overs, though Sabbir had to walk back to the pavilion early.
The run-getter for team Bangladesh, Mehidy Hasan Miraz was bowled by Wanindu Hasaranga in the following over of Power Play.
In the 7th over, Mehidy had to depart as Hasaranga hit the stumps in a perfect way. Mehidy scored 38 runs off 26 balls and the swift session of PowerPlay couldn’t continue for the opener.
Karunaratne struck another wicket in the next over after Mehidy was departed by Hasaranga. Mushfiqur Rahim came in early, when the fans were waiting for Afif. Unfortunately Mushfiqur had to walk back early too as Karunaratne dismissed Rahim for just 4 runs.
