Nick Kyrgios started off well at the US Open 2019 - the fourth and final Grand Slam of the season. However, he had a heated match with American Steve Johnson, whom he defeated 6-3, 7-6, and 6-4.
At one point in the game, the local tennis player, tired of Kyrgios' behavior, even said to him, "Are you going to play tennis or keep doing your damn TV show?" Kyrgios didn't respond and continued to complain to the referee.
But what has caught the most attention on social media is the great point that the controversial Australian tennis player made and later celebrated with a little dance, in front of a surprised New York audience.
Johnson returned the ball and it seemed like Kyrgios wouldn't reach it, but he ran towards the net and reached it, scoring 6-0 in the second set tie-break. Now, his opponent in the second round will be Frenchman Antoine Hoang. They will face each other for the first time on Thursday.
