For some players, the classics are separate encounters in which adrenaline and nerves levels rise noticeably compared to the rest of the matches. Something similar happened to Andrés D'Alessandro, who experienced a lot of tension in the match between Inter and Gremio.
The Argentine midfielder had protagonized an unusual act during the pre-match draw. There, the Cabezón had a strong exchange with Maicon, the rival captain, in which the referees themselves had to intervene to prevent what had started as a discussion from turning into a fist fight.
However, the Argentine's anger continued and, during the game and with the score 2-0 in favor of his rival, he delivered a strong kick without the ball (accompanied by a push) to Luan, the scorer of both goals for his team.
To everyone's surprise in the stadium and to the luck of Inter's '10', the referee decided not to send him off and only showed him a yellow card.
The Tricolor ended up defeating Inter 2-1 (Rodrigo Dourado scored a goal for the home team) in the Porto Alegre classic, in a match valid for the sixth round of the Gaúcho tournament in Brazil.
