Luis Ventura, journalist and coach of Victoriano Arenas, was called by the program No Todo Pasa, from TyC Sports, to talk about the aggression he suffered in the match against Central Ballester, for the Primera D. The article turned to the homosexuality within the world of soccer, a taboo subject. And in that context, he ended up telling a peculiar anecdote related to Rodrigo Díaz, ex-boyfriend of Ricardo Fort, from the time when Ventura was coaching El Porvenir.

"When I brought Fort's boyfriend to train at El Porvenir, on the first day he came, I had never seen so many people in the locker room; they couldn't even open the door because of the people who wanted to see when the guy was showering. And the teammates in the front row. They wanted to see, it's a lack of understanding," he surprised.

The episode took place in 2012. Rodrigo Diaz, then 20 years old, was introduced to the media as the new conquest of the late Ricardo Fort. He had experiences as a right midfielder in Independiente de Tandil and Huracán de Tres Arroyos.

On board a BMW, he appeared at the training session and sought to earn a place in the team. "I know that I am, perhaps, the first one to openly acknowledge a different sexual preference in a very macho environment. Being gay doesn't mean you can't make a strong tackle or play football well," he confessed at the time.

"I remember the final of the 78th World Cup, Argentina-Holland. I covered the match, I was in the River stadium... And I saw two Dutch guys holding hands. Year 78," he illustrated, demanding that the subject be treated with more naturalness.

And he closed the debate with an enigmatic bomb: "I know there's a super idol, who has his partner, and he's the great Argentine macho".
