Tennis Star Serena Williams Gets Married in New Orleans
Tennis star Serena Williams married businessman Alexis Ohanian on Thursday in New Orleans, according to various media sources in the United States.
Photos that were published showed several celebrities attending the wedding, such as Beyoncé, Kim Kardashian, Eva Longoria, and Kelly Rowland. The ceremony took place at the Contemporary Arts Center in New Orleans.
Serena Williams is one of the greatest tennis players in history: she has won 23 Grand Slams - just one shy of the absolute record - and spent many weeks as the world's number one in the rankings.
The player's coach, Patrick Mouratoglou, congratulated her on social media. "I wish you a very happy wedding, a fantastic party, and a full life of happiness with Alexis," wrote the Frenchman.
