On July 31st, the Los Cabos Tennis Open kicks off, which will feature the participation of Ivo Karlovic and Albert Ramos.

The generational contrast will be the main attraction in the second edition of the Los Cabos Open tennis tournament that starts on July 31st and ends on August 5th.

"From last year to this one we have to improve many things, but for the first edition it was very good, now there will be fixed changing rooms, and those adjustments are to make the experience positive," said José Antonio Fernández, tournament director.

In addition to the already announced names of Czech Tomas Berdych, Spaniards Feliciano López and Fernando Verdasco, Russian Karen Khachanov, Americans Sam Querrey and Frances Tiafoe, and Australian Thanasi Kokkinakis, other outstanding players have joined.

The defending champion, Croatian Ivo Karlovic, a specialist in hard court and who defeated Feliciano in the final of the previous year, will also be present at the tournament.

Spaniard Albert Ramos-Viñolas, 22nd in the ATP ranking and finalist in the Monte Carlo season, has also joined, as well as Frenchman Adrian Mannarino (51), and more of the young promises of the Tour, such as Mexican-American Ernesto Escobedo and his compatriot Taylor Fritz.

Another novelty for the tournament is Mexican Santiago González, who will participate in the doubles category, after reaching the final of Roland Garros in the same category.

The first edition of the tournament took place during the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games, but had an attendance of 12,300 people, so the organization's goal is to exceed that figure in a few weeks.

"Ticket sales are going very well, in the last two months we have realized that we will have a lot of attendance from the northern part of the country that wants to see tennis; it took the Acapulco tournament 11 years to reach the amount of audience we had in the first year," concluded the director.
