Mexican golfer Gaby López achieves second top ten of the year
Gaby López, the Mexican golfer, achieved her second top ten of the year by finishing tenth in the Arkansas Championship of the LPGA Tour. The championship was won by South Korean So Yeon Ryu, who obtained her fifth title in the circuit.
López played her best round on Sunday, which was 67 strokes, after having two previous rounds of 68 each. With that, she finished with a total of 203 strokes, ten under par, the final score alongside eight other players.
The Mexican player had a challenging start, committing a bogey on flags one and four. Later, she showed great performance with birdies on holes seven, eight, 10, 12, 16, and 18, reaching the tenth position.
For South Korean So Yeon Ryu, it was a less pressured day, as she registered the highest score of the three rounds, filling a scorecard with 69 strokes. This followed her 65 strokes on Friday and 61 strokes on Saturday, resulting in a total of 195 strokes, 18 under par.
Mexican golfer Regina Plascencia also participated in this tournament but couldn't make the cut on Saturday after scoring 80 strokes on Friday and 67 on Saturday. She finished with a total of 147 strokes, five over par.
