Dallas Mavericks Sign Tony Romo for a Day
Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, who announced his retirement from football last week after eleven seasons as a starter, signed for one day with the NBA team Dallas Mavericks.

Romo joined the team for their normal activities, which are specified in his symbolic 24-hour contract, including his participation in the Mavericks' final home game of the season against the Denver Nuggets.

Prior to the practice, the former Cowboys quarterback said the following: "I don't deserve to play for the Mavericks"; furthermore, Romo was introduced by Dallas coach Rick Carlisle.
