Christian Cueva presented himself this Monday, July 9th in Sao Paulo, the club that owns his contract. The Peruvian returned to Brazil with the intention of defining his future as soon as possible, after participating in the 2018 World Cup with the Peruvian team.

According to the Brazilian media outlet 'Lance', the club's coach, Diego Aguirre, would have stated that he does not plan on counting on the Peruvian for the current season.
"Cueva can be sold. We are waiting to see what will happen now, some market movements. He will have a few days off and we are expecting what will happen. If he is not sold, we will count on him," he stated.
The aforementioned Brazilian media outlet also stated that Aguirre "already has a tactical scheme in place and there is no room to include the Peruvian in the starting lineup."
It should be noted that, for the time being, Christian Cueva will have to train with Sao Paulo while waiting for any proposals. If that does not happen, he will have to face the season with the Brazilian team.
