The right back of France, Benjamin Pavard, presented pain on Sunday due to a blow received on his right thigh in the match last Friday against Uruguay (2-0), for the quarterfinals of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, but he is confident of being "fit" for the match against Belgium in the semifinals.
"I've received many blows, I played with one leg, it hurt a lot, but I am a warrior. I sweated the shirt and I am fit, ready to fight," he said in a press conference, after colliding with Luis Suarez in a divided play.
Pavard had a bandage on his right thigh after the victory of the 'Roosters' against the Uruguayans at the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium. "I still feel it today (Sunday), but everything is fine. This is part of football and these are the things you have to learn from," he added.
"The blow I received from (Luis) Suarez will make me learn. It may make me be more aggressive and go with less tranquility, to receive fewer blows, because he gave me a big blow," reflected the right back of France on that action.
The national teams of France and Belgium will face each other on Tuesday, July 10th in St. Petersburg for the first semifinal of the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Meanwhile, Pavard hopes to be 100% for the decisive match that will define the chances of the 'Roosters' to reach the coveted title of the most anticipated tournament on the planet.
