Now advertising is everywhere. Facebook announced the automatic playback of video ads on its Messenger service.
Facebook specifies that the playback of these video ads will take place without the need for the user to click or hover over the video.
"We don't know yet if it will work. However, the signals so far, when we have tested basic ads, showed no changes in how people use the platform or how many messages they send," says Stefanos Loukakos, Facebook executive, to the Recode portal.
Observing that user behavior has not been affected, now Facebook is betting on more intrusive material to measure to what extent they can offer advertising without affecting the user experience.
