Sergio Ramos, captain of Spain in the 2018 Russia World Cup, sent a message of encouragement to David de Gea after his bad performance against Portugal, and invited him to "never give up", assuring him that he always wants him in his team.
Since the end of Spain's debut in the World Cup in Russia with the draw against Portugal, messages of encouragement from Spanish players and coach Fernando Hierro have been pouring in for De Gea.
Ramos did not speak to the media after the match and delivered his message from the Spanish team's camp in Krasnodar. "It's not about not making mistakes, it's about never giving up, always on my team," he wrote in Spanish and English with a photo of the match embracing De Gea after the goalkeeper's error that led to a goal by Cristiano Ronaldo.
It's not about never failing, it's about never giving up. Always on my team, @d_degeaofficial. Let's keep it up. #VamosEspaña 🇪🇸
The Spanish international goalkeeper of Manchester United thanked the message with a: "Grande capi", accompanied by a strength emoji and the flag of Spain. (EFE)
