Colombia's National Team will debut in Group H against Japan on June 19 in the Russian city of Saransk. The match will start at 7 in the morning (local time for the 'cafeteros'). And of course, many fans will wake up early to go in search of the first bar, as is customary. But pay attention to a detail.
The Association of Bars in Colombia did not obtain permission from the authorities to sell alcoholic beverages before 10 in the morning, precisely because of the match between Colombia's National Team and Japan.
"We analyzed the proposal and determined that, based on the analysis of the Security Secretariat, it is convenient to maintain the current measure. Bars can start operations at 7 in the morning, but the sale of alcohol is allowed from 10 in the morning," said the Secretary of Government of Bogotá, Miguel Uribe, to RCN Radio from Colombia.
On the other hand, alcoholic beverages can be sold from 7 in the morning in supermarkets, commercial stores, liquor stores, cigarette shops, tobacco shops, confectioneries, fruit shops, bakeries, and neighborhood stores.
The police will increase their presence in the 20 localities of the Colombian capital in order to try to prevent brawls.
