Samsung Galaxy S9 surpasses Apple's iPhone X as the top-selling smartphone in April 2018.
According to global sales data shared by CounterPoint, the Samsung Galaxy S9+ and Galaxy S9 outsold the iPhone X by a margin of 0.3%.
In fourth and fifth place, we can see the iPhone 8 Plus and the iPhone 8. Far behind is the Xiaomi Redmi 5A.

It is striking that the best-selling phones are also the most expensive in the market. The iPhone X was released with a retail price of US$999 and the latest generation Galaxy S phones are not far from that figure.
