The captain decided to protect a girl from the intense rain that threatened the start of the match. Benatia used the flag to prevent her from getting wet, which has enamored millions of users on Twitter.

The Moroccan national team defeated Slovakia (2-1) in the friendly match played this Monday in the Swiss city of Geneva. It was thanks to the goals from Ayoub El Kaabi and Younes Belhanda, respectively.

The Moroccan national team will play their fifth World Cup in Russia, but it will be the first one they play after 20 years. The African team had a very good qualifying round and has become one of the strongest and most solid teams in the continent.

The team led by coach Herve Renard will begin their participation in Group B of the 2018 World Cup on June 15 against Iran, and then play against Portugal and Spain.
