No everything is soccer in the preparation stage for the 2018 World Cup.
At least not in Switzerland where the Swiss players left the ball for a while to return to the classrooms and learn Russian so they won't be lost during their presence in Group E of the upcoming FIFA tournament.
With the presence of Michael Lang, Johan Djourou, Yann Sommer, Roman Burki, Granti Xhaka, and Breel Embolo, the Swiss National Team had their private Russian lessons and had a good time. They, like the other 31 teams, are already in the countdown to the start of the World Cup.
Bittersweet taste: Spain remains unbeaten under Lopetegui but at the expense of a draw against Switzerland.
Switzerland comes from drawing against Spain 1-1 last Sunday in a friendly match played in Villarreal, province of Castellón, and coach Vladimir Petkovic said that the result left him happy but there were some things he didn't like.
"I am happy with the result, although not completely. The most important thing is that we have been able to resist against a strong team and show what we are capable of, but we must give these results the importance they deserve, and nothing more," he explained.
Switzerland will host Japan on Friday in their last friendly match before starting activities in Russia against Brazil on June 17 as part of Group E. Then they will face Serbia on June 22 and Costa Rica on June 27.
