The Panama National Team drew 0-0 against Northern Ireland in their farewell match with their fans, played last night at the Rommel Fernandez stadium.

The home team took the initiative from the first minute and relentlessly sought to impose themselves, but the tough Northern Irish defense prevented any goals. The local goalkeeper, Jose Calderon, was a luxury spectator for several passages of the match.

Hernan 'Bolillo' Gomez, coach of Panama, started veteran forward Luis Tejada from Sport Boys, who did not have an inspired night and was substituted by fellow veteran Blas Perez.

With this match, the Colombian coach reached 231 matches directing national teams, which places him in fifth place in the historical table.

Panama will now face Norway on Wednesday, June 6th in their last match before their first participation in the 2018 World Cup. In the World Cup, the Central American team will play in Group G, along with Belgium, Tunisia, and England.
