UTC venció 3-2 a Ayacucho FC

UTC defeated Ayacucho FC 3-2 at the Eloy Molina stadium in Huanca. The third round of the Apertura Tournament could not have had a better start. The match was full of emotions from start to finish.

The 'Gavilán del Norte' surprised in the first minute of the game with a goal from midfielder Juan Pablo Vergara, who beat his marker to score. The reaction did not take long. The 'Zorros' turned the score around with header goals from Víctor Rossel (16') and Mauricio Montes (55').

UTC, however, did not give up. In just two minutes, Franco Navarro's team managed to turn things around. Midfielder Benjamín Ubierna equalized by connecting a low cross (28'). Meanwhile, Vergara completed his double and scored the winning goal with a header (30').

With this result, the Cajamarca club temporarily took first place in the standings with 5 points. Ayacucho FC remains at the bottom having lost all 3 of their matches.

Duilio Cisneros' team is struggling with the specter of relegation. They are second to last in the standings with 14 points, two more than Unión Comercio.

On the other hand, the 'cajachos' have had two consecutive draws (against San Martín and Universitario). Franco Navarro's players have not lost in five matches (three wins and two draws); however, they need to start earning three points if they don't want to fall to the bottom of the table.

Ayacucho's coach, Duilio Cisneros, made a self-critique in the team's last match against Melgar. The situation is worrisome because Ayacucho has lost three consecutive matches.

However, not all hope is lost for the Ayacucho team as they earned three points in the first match against Comerciantes Unidos. As you may recall, the 'águilas' fielded Junior Aguirre, who was suspended due to accumulated yellow cards, and lost by W.O.

However, this time the 'zorros' want to show all their fury in their new home in Huanta, where they are obligated to win to avoid falling into the danger zone.
