Hundreds of fans gathered at the Revolution Monument to sign the Tri's Megashirt with good wishes for the players who will attend the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Former national team player Pavel Pardo declared at the event: "There is less and less time left, the leagues are about to end and we hope that the players are well, we are all hopeful and we all have the illusion; we are happy with what our team is, the most important thing as a fan is to wish them the best, I trust the players, each one of them can give more and always come out with a winning mentality."
Luis Roberto Alves affirmed: "We hope that the players give 100%; we know that football is a sport that is more watched and practiced in this country. May these players give themselves in the name of Mexican football.
On the other hand, Luis García assured that it is a great initiative to link the emotions of the fans with the Tri players, especially now because the footballers have a more complicated schedule due to commercial and social issues. "Being able to send a message, the excitement or the hope that the fans have, seems fascinating to me."
When asked about how he sees the team led by Juan Carlos Osorio, he assured that it is a team with experience and that is their greatest strength, there are people who will play their fourth World Cup or their fifth if Rafa Márquez goes, they will find things they already know, they have been playing together for a long time."
He also stated that the process of strategist Osorio has been excellent, "he has impeccable numbers". Regarding the criticism, he asserted that it is "something natural, the training and strategic methodology is not normal and many people don't like it, but he is a prepared and intelligent person".
On the other hand, he assured that Rodolfo Pizarro is a great player, but he does not make the decisions. "As Luis García, I love him, it's different when I decide," he concluded.
