French footballer from Paris Saint-Germain Hatem Ben Arfa went to the Legal Commission of the Professional Football League (LFP) of his country to claim 100,000 euros that his club withheld from him for not attending a team concentration in Doha, local media reported today.
PSG withheld that amount from his salary because the player did not attend a preparation call in Qatar last December with the rest of his teammates.
According to the player's lawyer Ben Arfa, he submitted a medical certificate to prove that he had gastroenteritis, but the club did not admit it and asked for a medical leave.
As a result, he withheld two days' salary that the player, who hardly plays under coach Unai Emery, wants to recover through the LFP.
Ben Arfa, whose contract with PSG ends at the end of the season, has been excluded from the first team since April 2017.
