Super Campeones Returns with New Episodes
In the 80s and 90s, the anime Super Campeones, known as Captain Tsubasa in Japan, became very popular. Now, with the excitement of the 2018 World Cup in Russia, it has returned with new animations and small changes in the characters.
The first episode retold the story from the old version of Super Campeones. Many will remember that Oliver was almost run over by a truck when he was very young, but a detail saved his life: the ball. In the video, you can see the modern version of the incident.
In the old version, the moment of Oliver's near death was filled with much more tension and suspense. This version of Super Campeones will return to the beginning of the story, but will change certain details to modernize the times in which the plot takes place.
The original version has 128 episodes. It is expected that the new release will be faithful to the story, but will add some surprises like the great figures of international football nowadays. The episodes of Super Campeones will air every Monday on Fuji TV.
