"We want to give the greatest joy to the Peruvians in the World Cup", said Jefferson Farfan after the first training session of the Peruvian National Team in the United States. The national team is preparing for the friendly matches against Croatia and Iceland, teams that will also be in Russia 2018.
"We will see at what level we are. The game against Croatia will be very tough, they have high-level players, but we have to show what we are made of, which is good football. We have to demonstrate it on the field", he explained.

And he explained the playing style that the Peruvian National Team must follow in this first friendly match: "We have to play the ball on the ground and also play out wide because we have important players on the wings."
Jefferson Farfan assured that he is one hundred percent focused on the 2018 World Cup in Russia: "I am very excited about what is to come and preparing myself to the maximum, just like all my teammates."
The Peruvian National Team will remain concentrated to play against Croatia on Friday, March 23 at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, and against Iceland on Tuesday, March 27 at the Red Bull Arena in New Jersey. They will also face Scotland, Sweden, and Saudi Arabia before the World Cup.
