José Guerrero, father of the 'Predator', regretted that his son was not able to participate in the victory over New Zealand at the Estadio Nacional.

Paolo Guerrero was present last night in the qualification to the 2018 World Cup through his teammates. All the football players came out onto the field of Estadio Nacional wearing a shirt in reference to 'Depredador', the same one that Jefferson Farfan showed during his goal celebration.
José Guerrero, father of 'Depredador', thanked the players for the gesture, especially 'Foquita'. "With this celebration, he showed his affection, love, and support towards a friend who is going through a crisis," he said on Radio Capital.

Don José expressed that his son's and Farfan's desire was to experience this happy moment together for the whole country. "Surely they would have done many things, but the misfortune of life is like that," he pointed out.
Similarly, Paolo Guerrero's father stated that he had mixed feelings. On one side, the emotion of fulfilling the dream of all Peruvians, and on the other side, sadness for his son's absence.
"Paolo did a lot for the national team. He played injured. They hit him, and he kept going. All because he wanted to defend his country and, above all, qualify," Guerrero said.
José Guerrero hopes that the FIFA Disciplinary Committee will soon resolve his son's case so that he can play again for the Peruvian National Team.
