Transfer Rumors: Yerry Mina Linked with Barcelona
On Monday morning, a new version of the transfer of central defender Yerry Mina, who is wanted by Barcelona, has begun to emerge.
According to the Spanish press, the Catalan team would sign the former Independiente Santa Fe player in mid-2018, right after the 2018 World Cup, or at the beginning of 2019.
Alexandre Mattos, Palmeiras' football director (Mina's current club), and Pep Segura, FC Barcelona's sports director, met and agreed that the Brazilian team will maintain the price and allow Yerry to complete the preseason to improve his adaptation.
"Barcelona gave up the possibility of incorporating Yerry in the winter transfer market, in exchange for maintaining the purchase price at 9 million euros instead of increasing it to 10 million as stipulated in the contract," reported the Sport newspaper.
It is worth mentioning that Yerry Mina suffered an injury that prevented him from being called up by the Colombian national team in the last matches against Venezuela and Brazil, and he could resume sporting activities at the end of the year, possibly ready by mid-December.
