Pedro Pablo de Vinatea became the fourth Peruvian gold medalist at the Lima 2019 Parapan American Games on Saturday, winning in the SL3 category of para badminton.
The national representative defeated the Brazilian Zuffo 2-0 in the men's individual final of the division, increasing Peru's production in the event's medal table.
With the achievement of Pedro Pablo de Vinatea, the local delegation participating in the Parapan American Games accumulated a total of 14 medals: four gold, three silver, and seven bronze.
Rosbil Guillen, Rimas Hilario, and Leonor Espinoza also won gold medals, while Luis Sandoval, Carlos Felipe, and Jorge Arcela won silver medals.
The bronze contributions for Peru came thanks to Efraín Sotacuro, Antero Villalobos, Rodrigo Santillán, Donia Felices, Noemí Vásquez, William Fernández, and Héctor Salva.
