Peruvian Athlete Pedro Pablo de Vinatea Wins Gold Medal in Lima 2019 Parapan American Games

Our compatriot, Pedro Pablo de Vinatea, became the fourth Peruvian gold medalist at the Lima 2019 Parapan American Games, by winning in the SL3 category of Para Badminton. He prevailed 2-0 in the men's singles final of the division, boosting Peru's production in the medal tally in the sports tournament.

De Vinatea has been a three-time Pan American champion in Para Badminton (in 2013, 2014, and 2018) and has also earned medals in international tournaments, as he did in April at the Uganda International, where he won bronze.

It is worth mentioning that with his achievement, the local delegation has accumulated a total of 14 medals: four gold, three silver, and seven bronze.
