The coach of the black-and-blues projected himself into the big Sunday duel and revealed that the striker Ruben Bentancourt is fit to play.

The coach of Liverpool, Jorge Bava, revealed that his team will go out to be the protagonist against Peñarol at El Campeón del Siglo, in the most important match of the eighth round of the Torneo Clausura.

The importance of the match, which will be played on Sunday, is marked by the fact that Peñarol and Liverpool are competing for the Clausura title (they are separated by one point) and the Annual Table (where the aurinegros have pulled away).

"It's a match that will mean a lot, but whatever the result, we have to keep moving forward in the remaining seven matches. Although it's a match that will define many things, it's not decisive," Bava began by saying in a press conference.

The coach revealed the idea that his team will implement at El Campeón del Siglo: "We will try to be the protagonists, manage the match, obviously we will face a rival that also goes out to propose, but we must be the protagonists and play in the opponent's field."

When asked about what worries him about Peñarol and what positive points he highlights about his team, he responded: "They have very good players, they are in a positive moment in terms of results. And we have the peace of mind that comes from the time we have worked together and that we have a well-oiled idea."

Bava stated: "When the year ends and we take stock, we will know which are the best teams. We have had a very regular year and we hope to maintain it until the end."

The Liverpool coach revealed that the top scorer Ruben Bentancourt is training normally and is available for the game against Peñarol. Likewise, he downplayed the fact of having to play on Sunday against Peñarol for the Torneo Clausura, and the next day against Atenas for the Copa AUF Uruguay.

"Knowing when the matches are played is an advantage because you can plan ahead. Taking into account that we don't use the same squad in one tournament and another, I think it's better to play immediately because then you have the entire squad during the week to train for the match against Cerro Largo."
