Sassuolo from Italy officially announced on Monday the arrival of Uruguayan Matías Viña, who joins on loan from Roma.
Viña signed a loan deal with an option to buy for the green and black team, Sassuolo stated in a brief statement on its website.
This is the second time that Roma has decided to loan the Uruguayan defender, after having played the last semester at Bournemouth in the English Premier League. In that team, Viña played 12 games, five of them as a starter, and scored two goals.
Viña, 25, will then wear his fifth shirt in his career. Emerged in Nacional, the full-back went through Palmeiras -where he became champion of the CONMEBOL Libertadores- and then arrived at Roma and from there, was loaned to Bournemouth and now to Sassuolo.
In the green and black team, he will be a teammate of another Uruguayan, forward Agustín Álvarez Martínez, who is recovering from a serious injury suffered in May.
