"Now officially #SuarezAtNacional!", announced Luis Suárez on his social media, his incorporation into Nacional de Uruguay, a team he played for between 2005 and 2006.
The forward posted a message on his Twitter, where he changed his profile picture to one wearing the team's jersey with which he began his professional career.
"Proud to wear my jersey at Nacional. Thanks to everyone for the support! See you soon," he added in his message to all the fans of the Uruguayan team, who started a campaign for the 'Pistolero' to return to the club where he was born footballistically. Finally, the crusade bore fruit: Luis Suárez returned.
The president of Nacional, José Fuentes, announced early on that the forward of the Uruguayan National Team had signed for five months.
"It's already solved," said Fuentes to local radio Sport 890 and added that the 35-year-old all-time leading scorer for La Celeste will arrive in Montevideo this weekend and on Tuesday he "will be available" to play against Brazilian team Atlético Goianiense in the quarterfinals of the 2022 Copa Sudamericana.
