Luis Suárez, the Uruguayan forward, finds himself without a team after completing a successful cycle with Atlético Madrid. The 'Pistolero' is one of the best forwards of recent years and many clubs seek to have him in their squad, both for his quality and his goals, but there is one that has a special affection for him: Nacional de Uruguay.
After recognizing that he would not join River Plate following their elimination from the Copa Libertadores, the fans of the Albo team started a campaign on social media called #SuárezANacional; a hashtag that became a worldwide trend and caused thousands of users to put a profile picture edited with the former Liverpool forward wearing the Bolso's shirt.
In an interview with a Uruguayan program, the president of Nacional, José Fuentes, highlighted the passion of the fans to have Suárez back and revealed that he has already had conversations with the player.

"The meeting with him was very positive. Luis Suárez's family is convinced to come to Uruguay. He has many offers, but he was moved by the people's demonstration," he said.
It is worth mentioning that Suárez made his debut with the Albo team on May 3, 2005. That day, he faced Junior de Colombia and could not celebrate after losing 3-2 in the Copa Libertadores 2005. In total, Lucho played a total of 35 matches, scored 12 goals, and provided four assists.
