Universitario de Deportes is preparing for the match against Capiatá this Thursday and John Galliquio is not overconfident despite the 3-1 victory that Roberto Chale's team achieved in the first leg of the second phase of the 2017 Copa Libertadores.
"We have a match coming up, here on Thursday. We are well prepared, calm, thinking about our opponent in the return match. We have to go all out, just like when we played in Paraguay. Anything can happen in the remaining 90 minutes and we hope it goes in our favor," said the central defender to 'Fútbol Como Cancha' from RPP Noticias.
The starting eleven is already on Roberto Chale's and company's minds. Gallquio is confident in achieving the necessary result to advance to the third stage of the Copa Libertadores preliminary phase: "The coaching staff already has a clear plan and we just have to be attentive and focused, and do what we know without getting ahead of ourselves. There are 90 minutes left, we have a positive result, but it doesn't guarantee anything. Our mentality is that the score is 0-0 and we have to go all out."
Juan Vargas did not finish the training session due to an ankle injury, something that Tyson doesn't consider an issue just a few days before the match against the Paraguayans: "We were worried, but I talked to him and it's not a serious injury. He's someone with many years of experience in football and he knows how to handle it. I know the 'Loco' and he will be there without a doubt."
On Thursday, February 9th, Capiatá will visit Universitario at Estadio Monumental, starting at 7:15 pm. The crema team can afford to lose 2-0 and still advance to the next stage of the Libertadores.
