The Second Division will be resolved in the offices and the president of the ADFP-SD, Sergio Ludeña, spoke to 'Football Como Cancha' of RPP Noticias and commented on what really happened with Sport Áncash and Cantolao.
"We have to wait 72 hours, surely the teams will appeal and after this the Justice Commission of the Peruvian Football Federation will indicate whether it is true or not," explained Ludeña.
"We cannot advance an opinion in this regard, what we have to do first is wait for what the CJ-FPF decides and then the Board of Directors will meet, we will analyze together with the Association's lawyers and a resolution will be issued in this regard," he said regarding the procedures that will be taken in this case.
The Second Division championship has had many complications and this dispute between Áncash and Cantolao has uncovered the irregularities that existed along the way: "Definitely this claim has overshadowed the end of the championship when we already had a champion which was Cantolao and we gave them the trophy. It happens that there are clubs that have their foreigner card, however Cantolao's position is like the existence of Mercosur, it is not necessary to have these foreigner cards and neither to have the authorization to sign contracts, that is a matter that the Federation must tell us what is valid and what is not valid. There should have been better control and it corresponds to us, as well as to the Federation."
It is conceivable that Cienciano, third in the table with 52 points, will be the one to reach the Descentralizado 2017 if the punishment to both clubs is ratified in the CJ-FPF, clarified Ludeña. "If we look at the documents, I could tell you that Cienciano got the identity card of their 3 foreigners, it is one of the teams that complied. If Cienciano enters in this position, I have to exempt myself from that vote," he concluded.
