The tragedy of Chapecoense has mourned the sports world, but here in Peru we had our own tragedy when on December 8, 1987, a Fokker F-27 aircraft from the Navy that was carrying the Alianza Lima team back from Pucallpa crashed into the sea in Ventanilla.

César Espino was part of the blanquiazul team. However, being expelled on a previous match made him not travel with the rest of the team at the last moment to play against Deportivo Pucallpa for the National Championship.
