City of Mexico public transportation during the NFL game

Due to the NFL game at Estadio Azteca, where Oakland Raiders and Houston Texans will play, and because it is a holiday to commemorate the beginning of the Mexican Revolution, the transportation network in Mexico City will operate on special schedules this Monday.

For example, the 12 lines of the Metro system will have service from 7 am on Monday until 1 am on Tuesday, November 22nd.

Meanwhile, the routes of the M1 Transport System (formerly RTP) will provide service from 7 am to 11 pm.

The 6 Metrobus lines will have service from 5 am to 12 am.

In addition, the Government of Mexico City informed that a transportation operation, coordinated by the Ministry of Mobility, has been set up for the American Football game. This operation includes direct departure and return points so that 200 buses can arrive and leave Estadio Azteca.

"As the Head of Government said, one of the most important aspects for us is precisely how people get to the stadium, that's why we are implementing this remote parking system," said the director general of the Sports Institute of Mexico City, Horacio de la Vega, during the start of the "NFL Fan Fest CDMX".

The departure and return points will be located at Estadio Olimpico Universitario, located at Avenida de los Insurgentes Sur, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, Ciudad Universitaria and Auditorio Nacional, at Avenida Paseo de la Reforma 50, Bosque de Chapultepec.

Additionally, Plaza Carso, at Lago Zúrich number 245, Ampliación Granada; Expo Santa Fe, at Avenida Santa Fe number 270, Santa Fe; and Monumento a la Revolución, at Plaza de la República s/n, colonia Tabacalera, will also be departure points.

From the remote parking lots, buses will travel to Estadio Azteca from 3:00 pm to 7:30 pm. The return trip will be from 10:00 pm to 1:00 am on Tuesday, November 22nd, with a cost of 20 pesos per trip.

Buses will arrive and depart from Gate 8 of Estadio Azteca, located on Avenida del Imán.

In addition, the Government of the City recommended using the Light Rail, which covers the route from Taxqueña to Xochimilco and passes by Estadio Azteca.
