Alianza Lima responds to Universitario de Deportes' criticism

The sports manager of Alianza Lima, Gustavo Zevallos, came forward to respond to the criticism from Universitario de Deportes for requesting the three points from the classic match that was going to be played on Sunday at the Monumental stadium.

Zevallos told the sports press loud and clear that "it is not shameful" to ask for the three points, as he argued that Alianza Lima's position was to play the match.

"This is a situation not created by us. They say it's shameful because we ask for the points, shame is what they are going through when it is already known that there is another administration. We always wanted to play, but they sought this. We will uphold the rules. We know we are right," Zevallos expressed to a local radio station.

The manager added that the documentation has already been submitted to the Professional Football Association for them to determine the situation and commented that the irregularities lie in the decisions of the "U" directors.
